  1. I’ll never forget the one and only time I was laid off (only to be begged back since the person they replaced me with didn’t work half as hard as I did, he was just a bigger suck up) they wouldn’t let me go get my Beta Fish from my desk. They had my stuff all packed and waiting but not my fish. They literally made me leave without it and told me that my boyfriend could come pick it up after hours. I have no idea what they were afraid of or why no one was allowed to go get it for me. It was a silly place full of silly people. I have no idea how that biz lasted as long as it did.

  2. This is so heartbreaking. Just…I don’t even know what to say because you have tried so hard and still…it pains me that the America I once knew could be so cruel. I’m going to pass this along. People need to read this and understand, this is happening to their family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, it’s happening to fellow Americans and they…any of us…could be next.

  3. I am slowly being bled dry by my bills after my wife passed away. Which in a strange twist of fate,I was actually unemployed for two years before that…one year I was like you, looking everywhere and the second year,I was taking care of her after her illness hit. I can only say to keep enduring.
    Jessica….thank you for sharing this.
